Queen Mary’s Chief Dinghy Instructor Hannah Golton writes:
We were pleased to achieve a 50:50 split of men to women at our first keelboat cup this winter. We’re very proud to have got to this point, which follows on from the club’s women’s keelboat days that ran throughout 2022.
See the results of the battle.
Next we’re hosting a keelboat cup a month through the winter and all are open to non-members as well as members. The events are:
- The Christmas Keelboat Cup, 10 December 10:00 – 13:00 – while we still have light! Get out in the RS21’s one last time before Christmas.
- The Commodore’s Cup, 11 February 13:00 – 16:00 – our last winter keelboat cup with the most interesting trophy. Be a part of a full afternoon of racing.
- Womens Keelboating Cup, 25 February 13:00 – 16:00 – our very first women’s keelboat competition! Following on from the success of our women’s keelboating days, this is open to women with previous sailing experience.
