Time is running out – MCA consultation closes on 21 November 2023
The MCA has an ongoing consultation seeking views on the new design and structure of the code of safe working practices for merchant seafarers (COSWP) (“the code”). However, time is running out to respond with the consultation closing on the 21 November 2023.
The code is a mandatory requirement onboard many types of MCA certified vessels and has become an internationally recognised maritime industry standard of best practice.
The code has been redesigned and modernised to improve its structure, ensure consistency, and simplify its language.
The MCA is now looking for feedback on the changes.
