With 25 courses planned so far, developed specifically for the marine industry, we hope that you will find something interesting to book on to. Electrics & Electronics
British Marine Electrical Technician (BMET)
A two-day course based around the BMEEA (British Marine Electrical and Electronics Association) Code of Practice, created using the Small Craft Electrical System Standards as a base. A course designed to give candidates the knowledge and skills up to the required standard to become a BMEEA-Certified Marine Electrical Technician – after passing an examination to prove the acquired knowledge.

Basic Marine Electronics Installer (BMEI)
This is an introductory course in marine electronics installation that clarifies and defines competent installation practices. The course syllabus is the NMEA (National Marine Electronics Association) 0400 Installation Standards. Candidates will acquire working knowledge of the Standards. A Marine Electronics Installer has demonstrated this proficiency by passing an examination designed to measure understanding of those principles.

Laws and Regulations
The Law Relating to Brokerage and Boat Retailers
This course is designed to give brokers the latest updates and legislation on issues covering law when selling new and second-hand boats. It provides invaluable information and guidance to help you minimise legal problems when selling boats. Covering fundamental legal concepts, like the Law of Contract and the Law of “Tort”, Consumer Legislation and industry specific topics like Value-Added Tax (VAT) and Recreational Craft Regulations (RCR).

NEW Recreational Craft Regulations (RCR) Awareness
Designed to increase and expand your knowledge of how to meet the requirements of the post Brexit Recreational Craft Regulations, and assist your ability to manufacture, import and sell legally compliant products. Delegates will receive Extensive and up to date information on the RCR and the associated International Standards, to help bring you up to date on the latest legislation.

Marina Specific Courses
Marina Operative Course
This self-study on the job programme will help you ensure you have all the knowledge on the several distinct aspects of the job. Your manager will accompany you and tailor the programme to your needs and will sign off your competencies as you develop in your role.
Intermediate Marina Management
This four-day course will give you training in the critical issues of marinas, including Health & Safety, Maritime Law, Customer Service, Budgeting and Accounting, Environmental Management, and Marketing, including networking, group projects and field visits. If you have worked for more than a year as a marina team leader, supervisor or dockmaster, we would love to have you join this course!

Advanced Marina Management
This 6-day course is ideal if you have worked in a management position in a marina for 3 or more years. Packed with formal and informal learning opportunities, networking, field visit and group project, this live-in course is also a pathway towards Certified Marina Manager (CMM) and Certified Marina Professional (CMP) GMI (Global Marina Institute) Certification.
