We know that securing project funding is of growing importance to clubs. As most clubs’ finances are now under greater pressure, securing external funding has become an attractive option. However, as the demand for funding is high, clubs will have to prepare accordingly by applying to the right funder, at the right time, and in the right way! To help you with this we have listed some resources for you to use:
1. Alternative revenue streams for your club webinar
Join us for a webinar on Wednesday 15 February from 7.30 – 8.30pm to hear how other clubs have created new revenue streams to fund their core activity. We will explore the successes, challenges along the way and the potential legal implications for adapting your offer.
2. Funding Portal
The RYA have teamed up with Idox to create a community funding support website for advice about getting ready for funding applications and to help you find the right funding partner.
3. Funding Support Officers
We recently contracted a team of Funding Support Officers to provide four levels of support:
a. Creating and updating a suite of written and video resources to support your club with finding and securing funding. Work has started on these so watch this space!
b. Updating our social media to make you aware of the latest hot funds. To access this information, make sure you like and follow your regions Facebook page. As a teaser their first vlog will be about the recently relaunched Sport England Small Grants Scheme.
c. Reviewing your clubs funding applications and providing guidance on how these can be developed.
d. Providing more detailed guidance and support for a limited number of projects.
