This in-person conference will provide an opportunity to hear from colleagues within RYA and RYA Scotland, including fellow clubs, centres, and organisations. RYA Connect with Coaching, online – 7th March 2023
This final session for race coaches and instructors will take place on the 7th of March. Participants will be invited to submit questions on coaching topics they would like to discuss with the other participants and the coach development team. Child Wellbeing and Protection in Sport online workshop – 14th March 2023
In conjunction with sportscotland, this workshop is for welfare officers as well as anyone who is involved in working with or supervising others who work with children and young people. The course may be booked here.
RYA Scotland Dinghy & Windsurf Instructor Days – March and April 2023
The Coach Education team are running several practical days, hosted regionally across Scotland. These days are targeted at coaches and instructors and will help develop volunteers and staff from throughout the boating community. Full details and registration may be found here.
Could your club use £1000 in FREE sports equipment? Our colleagues at sportscotland are looking to understand how sport and physical activity contribute to building an Active Scotland. Their survey is open until the 17th of February 2023 and all clubs who complete it will be entered into a prize draw to win £1000 of sports equipment. Find the survey and further details here.

The RYA Scotland Development Team are planning to start regular Zoom Connect Calls for clubs and centres. These calls will be opportunities to connect with RYA Scotland staff as well as club leaders from throughout Scotland. The intention is for the conversations to be led by clubs toward topics relevant to clubs. Details and dates are coming soon.
