Bespoke yacht charter broker HELM will be present at the United States Powerboat and Sailboat show in Annapolis this month as it celebrates expanding market growth in the US
In 2022, HELM recorded a 975 percent rise in clients from the US and early indications for 2023 shows it expects this trend to continue.
Co-founder of HELM Peter Harrison says: “We’ve seen a surge in interest from the US with clients booking trips to Europe. Greece and Croatia top the list with their easy sailing, fascinating culture, and beautiful weather. The strength of the dollar versus the euro has further fuelled the growth in clientele from the US that are looking to head to the Mediterranean for their boating vacations, and as experts in bespoke med charters, our services have been really well received. We have noticed that US clients are particularly discerning and appreciate HELM’s transparency on costs, particularly fuel costs, which have seen a sharp rise recently – we pride ourselves on being 100 percent candid so that we can avoid nasty surprises, which maintains our clients’ trust.
“We have seen an emerging trend for catamaran charters, already the default in the Caribbean, as they offer an ideal vacation platform with space and comfort. American clients have been at the heart of this trend, and we are excited to be visiting Annapolis and getting to meet them in person.”
Peter and the HELM team will be exhibiting at the United States Powerboat Show (October 6-9) at Tent D92 and the United States Sailboat Show (October 13-17) at Tent VB12 in the Vacation Basin.
