Leonardo Yachts
Leonardo Yachts was founded in 2011 by brothers Steven & Melle Boersma. Located at the heart of the premium Dutch yachtbuilding industry, we serve an international clientele with two beautiful daysailers, the Eagle 36 and the Eagle 44.
In addition to our ‘own’ boats, we also offer comprehensive support when you decide to build a custom superyacht for yourself at another yard. These services can range from introductions and initial design to full project management and brokerage services. Our business model is simple: Keep overheads to a minimum, work with leading designers and maintain long-term relationships with our partners in Holland, Monaco, Russia, Poland and Turkey.
Pedigree performance
With a grandfather who started building wooden racing dinghies in the 1950s and a father who specialised in the construction of steel motoryachts, Steven and Melle come from a pedigree boatbuilding family. Raised in the north of Holland, where much of their youth was spent racing on the famous Frisian lakes, a passion for sailing was born. This has since been translated into thriving careers for both the brothers.
Steven started his first company Da Vinci Yachts at the start of the millennium. This is still going strong today and has already provided over 100 owners with a superb boat. This gives him all the knowledge it takes to build your yacht to perfection.
With a degree in naval architecture, a range of restoration projects and some 25,000 miles of salt water sailing under his belt, Melle can leverage on a wealth of technical knowledge and experience.
