British Marine is looking for a maximum of three sponsors to support the consumer research it is conducting this year on UK boaters and boat owners. This research is an update to the previous research conducted in 2016 that explores behaviours related to the purchasing, hire or charter of recreational boats, watersports craft and related marine equipment and accessories. Fieldwork for this research will be conducted at the end of the boating season in Autumn 2021, with data analysis conducted later in the year. Final reports will be available to view in 2022.
Sponsorship of this research will cost £2,500 (exclusive of value-added tax). This will entitle sponsors to:
- Advertise their brand on all consumer communications related to the research, including survey invitations and questionnaires, which will be circulated with a consumer audience of approximately 100,000 boating enthusiasts.*
- Promote their brand through all industry communications related to the research, including promotional articles, public reports and press releases that reach an audience of over 1,500 marine businesses, trade media outlets and other industry stakeholders.*
- Add a limited number of questions to the survey questionnaire, bespoke to their needs and market. The feedback from these questions will only be visible to the sponsor, providing them with direct intelligence on their market.
- Receive a bespoke report, showing the results from their questions as well as the core research questions asked by British Marine in the questionnaire. This will be in addition to a copy of the public report which will be available and free of charge to all British Marine members
*Please note: this branding offer does not imply exclusivity in advertising your brand; any branded material will include the branding of British Marine and other sponsors of this research.
For British Marine and its members, this research will provide vital intelligence on the dynamics of the UK consumer boating market, which has changed dramatically over the past 18 months, following the impact of Brexit and COVID-19 on patterns of outdoor recreation. By allowing sponsors to ask questions – and promote their brand – directly to this large, evolving consumer base, this sponsorship opportunity provides sponsoring members with an invaluable opportunity to speak directly to past, current and prospective customers.
Please note, this is a limited opportunity and is based on a first come, first served basis. For further information and to register your interest, please contact Alastair Wilson at awilson@britishmarine.co.uk by 5pm GMT, 27 August 2021.
