Bringing the National Conference: Innovate for Success 2022 to your attention once again! The leading B2B (business-to-business) event will be held at the National Motorcycle Museum and National Conference Centre (NCC) in the well connected heart of the Midlands on 15 – 16 March 2022.

In case you missed last week’s mention of the National Conference, you can find out more here and register your interest in attending, using our updated registration form.

The inaugural National Conference will provide an essential pre-season focal point for UK marine businesses to come together, network and collaborate. With a focus on innovation, the event will explore new and emerging consumer trends and barriers to continued business growth and success. These include new consumer lifestyle choices, logistical, post pandemic and Brexit related challenges, and new environmental opportunities.

A busy two-day professionally managed programme will see delegates draw inspiration from headline keynote speakers. Carefully curated presentations from subject matter experts will provide valuable insight from marine and other industries across broad and sector-specific issues. Dedicated presentation and break-out spaces within the modern National Conference Centre will enable ample opportunity for discussion, networking and for those looking to exhibit. With hundreds of marine professionals expected to attend from across the industry, time to meet and mingle will be maximised through onsite lunches and refreshment breaks.

The opportunity to engage with all delegates will be further enhanced by a networking buffet dinner, held among the magnificent two-wheeled exhibits of the adjacent world leading National Motorcycle Museum. This informal occasion will be a time to marvel at the incredible engineering achievements and bravery of motorcycling pioneers while discovering innovative partners and collaborators of the future.

Innovation and collaboration is critical to success

Speaking at the Southampton International Boat Show launch of the National Conference: Innovate for Success 2022, British Marine member and event chair, Paul Martin stated: “Innovation is critical to the individual success of businesses and the collective health of our industry. This event has grown out of the demand from our members and associations for a pivotal conference at which we can all meet to share, learn and collaborate. It will create a fantastic opportunity for B2B networking, acquiring knowledge and sharing best practice from across marine and wider sectors. We look forward to seeing a wide cross-section of delegates and participating companies there.”

Welcome addition, important and well timed

Responding to the announcement, Jon Partridge, CEO – Commercial at RS Sailing and RS Electric Boats stated: “We are very excited about the forthcoming British Marine National Conference. We truly believe innovation will be key to our future growth in the UK and  worldwide. To achieve the best result when innovating you need to grow knowledge, collaborate with others and seek exciting new partnerships. We’ll be attending the conference for all of those reasons.”

John Cooper, CEO of BAR Technologies, said: “BAR Technologies is the home of maritime innovation, focused on our specialist sectors of workboats, shipping including wind propulsion, leisure marine and special projects. Joining and sharing at next year’s British Marine National Conference is extremely important to us.”

Paul Gullett, Managing Director of environmental filtration specialist Wave International added: “Having the opportunity to hold face to face meetings, share ideas, re-establish contact and make new connections at the British Marine National Conference will be invaluable for innovative companies like ourselves. It will also take place at exactly the right time for us to demonstrate important new products to key buyers and influencers in the marine sector.”
