Technical Report 131 contains updates on all regulatory changes over the last four months. There have been significant changes to post Brexit UKCA marking processes, updates to harmonised standards for EU products and Designated Standards for UKCA along with updates on statutory guidance documents, HSE guidance and the Grandfathering Review of Class V passenger vessels.

Please note that since publication of Technical Report 131 the UK government has subsequently announced a two year extension to the acceptance of CE marking on various products, which includes recreational craft and its components. CE marking will now be accepted until December 2024. Full details can be found on the .gov.uk website here – Businesses to be given UK product marking flexibility – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk). This announcement does not cover the Marine Equipment regulations formally known as MED and ship wheel marking.
