The British Marine Membership team looks forward to welcoming all members and Southampton International Boat Show Exhibitors to its lounge throughout the show.
Located opposite the brand new Shipyard Stage and with fantastic views of the marina, the member and exhibitors lounge is the perfect place to do business, catch up with industry colleagues or just take a break out on our waterfront terrace.
This year, the lounge will once again provide free tea, coffee and water throughout the day. We’ve got great WiFi and plenty of places to plug in your devices, so why not make the most of it!
A new addition to the lounge this year is our British Marine meeting room. This room is freely available for members to book in 1hr slots.
The meeting room can comfortably sit six people in a boardroom style layout. To find out more and book a slot, please email membership@britishmarine.co.uk.
Got a VAT or Customs issue?
In addition, the PKF Francis Clark Marine Team which provides the VAT and Customs support services for and on behalf of British Marine, will again be in the lounge, ready to support and assist members.
The core team will be on site Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday (19/20/21 Sept – although there will also be ad-hoc attendance on other days) and happy to attend exhibitor stands, meet in the Members’ Lounge or anywhere in the Show site to discuss VAT and Customs queries with members or, where required, members’ clients. The team will be able to assist with the full range of VAT and Customs matters, in particular:
- VAT Status
- Exports / Imports (UK and EU)
- Movement of goods
- The reliefs – Temporary Admission / Returned Goods / Transfer of Residence
- Place of Supply
- Charter activity
To obtain assistance and / or arrange a meeting, simply contact bm@pkf-francisclark.co.uk (before or during the show) or visit the Members’ Lounge (during); if assistance is required outside of the core days, please contact the Members’ Lounge or the above email address and the team can either arrange an onsite attendance or discuss the matter remotely.
The lounge will be open from 09:00 – 18:00 throughout the show. Please note that the lounge will be closed at some stages during the show for private functions. Please visit the lounge or email membership@britishmarine.co.uk for daily opening times.
