UK Coaching currently offer an online classroom in partnership with the Child Protection Sport Unit of the NSPCC. Available for coaches and instructors aged 16 to 18, this 2 hour course piloted by the RYA offers sessions on evenings, weekends, or school/college holidays.
Created by specialists in child welfare, the course is tailored to support younger coaches and instructors. Its aim is to help you recognise safeguarding and child protection best practice.
As a young instructor or coach, you’ll discover how to report safeguarding concerns that effect yourself and others. Upon completing the online classroom, you’ll receive a certificate valid for up to two years, that’s a fantastic addition to your CV.
At this stage, we are asking for 24 volunteers who would be interested in undertaking this funded course.
