Have your say in the RYA Safeguarding Surveys

We’re calling for as many people within the boating community to complete one of two RYA Safeguarding Surveys, aimed at children and young people, and adults.

The surveys are anonymous and form part of the on-going independent safeguarding review being led by Lime Culture. They should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.

All insights gathered will help the RYA and all affiliated organisations understand how we create and support safe and inclusive cultures for people to enjoy their sport and recreation.

Katie Loucaides, RYA Safeguarding and Equality Manager, said: “Learning from our community ensures we understand how to support our network to create environments that are safe and welcoming. This will enable more people to flourish and thrive in whatever way they choose to spend time on or around the water.

“The voices of young people are invaluable to us in shaping a future that is relevant and we encourage parents and carers to support them in completing the survey. Together we will make a difference.”

Closing date is midnight on 25 August 2023.
