Following feedback from previous years, we’ve included several different session formats, accepting that some people prefer the opportunity to share ideas and network, whilst others prefer to sit back and enjoy presentations.
We hope you will be able to join us for what will be an interactive day. It’s free to attend, and lunch is included. If you are planning to attend, please sign up as soon as possible, as this helps us to plan the day and make it as good as possible with attendees in mind.
The club conference is open to everyone, so whether you are a committee member, a key volunteer or just keen to develop your club and make change happen. We hope you can join us on 18th November.
Embarking on a key planning cycle
The Autumn and Winter months are crucial planning times to review CPD and the training clubs and individuals need. The Senior Instructor Course earmarked for November has received a phenomenal response, and we will be launching a further SI course in February.
If you have a training need in your club, whether for a specific endorsement or additional training, please fill in the expressions of interest form, as this allows us to analyse demand in particular localities and arrange training informed by regional needs.
Similarly, any venues that would like an onboard development day can take place during a regular junior training session, or we can run bespoke training sessions for your club volunteers, where you can have some fun and try the games and activities yourselves.
The Onboard development days are free for clubs; you need to contact me via email at adam.mcgovern@rya.org.uk so we can arrange a date.
Bumper entries for the grand finale
The senior and junior traveller series are ending; they have been a fantastic series!
It’s not too late to register for the grand finale of the Junior Traveller series on 14th October at Leigh & Lowton Sailing Club. The series’ prize-giving will also occur here, so it would be great to get as many people there as possible.
The last event in the Senior Traveller Series is on 26th September at Elton Sailing Club. All classes are welcome, and it’s just £5, payable on the day, with registrations at 10:30 am.
As always, if you would like to chat with a regional team member, whether this is to discuss your winter open events, race series, training needs or social activities, do get in touch using the meeting request form.
Happy Sailing
Adam
