The following products have been identified as creating a risk to consumers and have been identified for recall. If you sell or use any of these products please contact the supplier. 

 

Product Recall: Plastimo Life Jacket 165 ZIP and Re-arming Kits MA1 (2308-0009)

Page summary: Product Recall for Plastimo Life Jacket 165 ZIP and Re-arming Kits MA-1 presenting a risk of drowning.
Hazard: The product presents a risk of drowning as the inflation time is over five seconds, which is greater than the maximum time set in the relevant standard. The vest may slowly deploy when required, which presents a risk of drowning. The product does not meet the requirements of the PPE Regulation 2016/425.
Corrective action: The product has been recalled from end users. Owners must stop using the product immediately, and contact the distributor they purchased from for further instructions.

Product Recall: Mercury Verado 7.6L V12 600hp outboard engine (2308-0048)

Page summary: Product Recall for Mercury Verado 7.6L V12 600hp outboard engine presenting a risk of injury.
Hazard: The product presents a risk of injuries as a it has been identified that there is potential for the engine’s steering position sensor to malfunction. When the steering position sensor malfunctions, it will set a fault code and the vessel’s steering and available thrust will be limited. The product does not meet the requirements of the Recreational Craft Regulations 2017.
Corrective action: The product has been recalled from end users for repair/replacement. To correct the issue, the steering sensor will be replaced, and the vessel’s propulsion software will be updated.
