Product recall of Aquarius children’s lifejacket

The Office for Product Safety and Standards has issued a product recall of the Aquarius children’s lifejacket with whistle. The lifejacket has been identified as having the potential to cause a serious risk of injury.

The product presents a serious risk of drowning due to the absence of independent conformity assessment to demonstrate the product will perform when required.

Corrective action

The lifejackets are now being recalled from end users and have been removed from eBay.

Next steps

Owners of the lifejackets are advised to visit the Product Safety Alerts page on the GOV.UK website for further details and advice.

You can find guidance on how to choose and fit the correct lifejacket or buoyancy aid for your needs on the Buoyancy aids and Lifejackets page.
