The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) was first awarded the coveted Fair Tax Mark accreditation in 2022 and it has been renewed this year in recognition of its continued transparency around its tax affairs.
Launched in 2014, the Fair Tax Foundation was developed by a team of tax justice, corporate responsibility and ethical consumerism experts. Its Fair Tax Mark accreditation scheme is considered the gold standard of responsible tax conduct, bridging the gap between corporate responsibility and the wider tax justice movement.
Gold standard
Dave Strain, Finance Director at the Royal Yachting Association, commented: “We are delighted to have been awarded the Fair Tax Mark accreditation for a second consecutive year.
“We have always been an organisation that takes pride in our commitment to paying our fair share of tax and regard taxation as a vital means of distributing wealth to the wider community and society in general.
“Being certified with a Fair Tax Mark helps to maintain the RYA’s leading position as an international and national influencer through our commitment to integrity and excellence. It demonstrates that we pay the right amount of corporation tax, at the right time and in the right place.”
Greg Yates, Senior Accreditation Manager, said: “We are delighted that the Royal Yachting Association has once again achieved Fair Tax Mark accreditation. It’s great to see such a prestigious organisation leading by example in their tax conduct.”
