RYA Connected kicks off this autumn and combines the former Affiliated Clubs Conferences and Sailability Conference under the new ‘Connected’ banner.
The in-person conferences get underway in November and will be open to all affiliated organisations including clubs, Sailability groups, class associations, race officials and training centres that are based within clubs, creating more opportunities to network and share learning.
Crucially, they are FREE to attend and we encourage all the relevant people from your club to attend. Delegates can choose to sign up for whichever event is most convenient to them – it doesn’t have to be the one in which they, their club or centre is based.
Clubs in the East are invited to the RYA Connected conference for the region, which will be held at the Royal Hospital School, Ipswich, on Saturday 25 November.
Tickets are free and include lunch, with representatives from all aspects of club life invited to join the regional team to explore this year’s theme of Share, Learn, Grow.
Robbie Bell, RYA East Regional Manager, said:
“I’m really excited that this new large event will bring together volunteers from across the wider RYA Affiliate network, enabling attendees to engage with RYA staff and make the most of the opportunity to learn from one another. I’d encourage you all to sign up whilst you can, it’s a great venue and we provide lunch!”
There are a wide range of forums, workshops or presentations to choose from, including: creating volunteer strategies; creating offers beyond racing; diversifying your offer; becoming an RYA Training Centre, growing and developing your people and much more.
There are also a number of technical pop-up sessions, from meeting your regional team to finding funding and a variety of other topics.
With so much to choose from, you may want to bring along members of your team to benefit from all the topics which you feel are of particular interest to your club or organisation.
