Are you the parent, guardian or carer of a child taking part in boating or sailing? If so, then the RYA Parent, Guardian and Carer Survey is your opportunity to share how you feel about your child’s experiences on the water.
By taking part in the short survey, participants will be providing the RYA with valuable insight into how the RYA can provide further help and support to both parents and children, ensuring safe and fun experiences for all.
All forms of feedback, both positive and negative, are extremely valuable and will be referred to when reviewing the RYA’s ongoing organisational delivery of the safeguarding agenda. This includes policy development, ongoing support offers, and much more.
Katie Loucaides, RYA Safeguarding & Equality Manager, said: “Last year’s RYA Parent, Guardian and Carer Survey received over 150 completed responses which provided us with extremely useful insight and helped to shape the guidance that we produced throughout the year.
“I would like to urge all parents, guardians and carers with children participating in on the water activities to contribute to the survey. It is a fantastic opportunity for the RYA to hear your views and can make a real difference to the format and structure of how we deliver safeguarding support.”
Once the results have been analysed, the RYA will give a full update on the survey’s findings. It should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete and most of the questions are optional to answer.
