RYA to host neurodiversity webinar for clubs and centres

Understand Neurodiversity

Members of RYA affiliated clubs, centres, class associations and committees are invited to join an ‘Understanding Neurodiversity’ webinar on 09 November 2022 at 7pm–8:30pm. The presentation will be led by UK wide charity, The Brain Charity.

Neurodiversity is defined by The Brain Charity as: “The concept that brain differences are natural variations – not deficits, disorders or impairments.”

The webinar is free to join and will cover the following topics:

  • What does it mean to be neurodivergent? Is it more than Autism, ADHD and a broad range of learning differences such as dyslexia and dyscalculia?
  • How can we support and understand others who might be neurodivergent?
  • How can we be inclusive of people who are neurodiverse?
