All-in-one navigation app savvy navvy has launched a new promoted pins feature, enabling marine businesses to reach a highly qualified, geo-targeted audience of boating and watersports enthusiasts.

Similar to pins in ‘Google Maps’, marine businesses can now promote themselves directly on the chart in the savvy navvy app, enabling boaters to find local marine services easily.

We have a map-based app, so if you need to find anything from a boatyard, sail repairer, training school or chancellery, you can now do so directly in our savvy navvy app. We’ve already seen huge interest from a variety of marine businesses globally who recognise the value of the savvy navvy community. With our growing popularity and close to a million app downloads, this is the perfect chance for marine businesses across the world to increase their brand awareness and reach new customers,” says David Cusworth, head of innovation and partnerships at savvy navvy.

Last year was another huge year of growth for savvy navvy, founded by ex-Google software engineer and avid sailor Jelte Liebrand, as they doubled both its app users and their annual recurring revenue to £1.5 million. In 2023, savvy navvy is preparing to launch an enhanced version of the app to get even more people safely out on the water, as well as working more closely with marine agencies and other stakeholders on more added functionalities and data insights.

One of the businesses recently taking up savvy navvy’s promoted pins feature is TransEurope Marinas, one of the world’s largest marina groups in Europe, spanning across twelve countries and close to 45,000 berths.

“Visual aids are ideal for boaters particularly when exploring new destinations. The promoted pins function in savvy navvy offers a great way to help sailors seek out our member marinas,” says Melanie Symes, Secretary General at TransEurope Marinas.

savvy navvy is available on Android, IOS, PC and Mac and can be used on an unlimited number of devices simultaneously. It is charts, weather, tide, marina details and passage planning with full tidal vectors – all in one place.
