Taking place from 10-19 September, the Southampton International Boat Show is set to welcome all types of exciting and innovative feature-packed Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBS) and the engines and equipment to accompany them.
Barrus, with multiple stands, will be exhibiting Mariner outboards, Yanmar inboard diesel engines and ranges of inflatable boats, with the Barrus Marine Equipment stand showcasing an extensive range of premium brands for every area of the boat. “Southampton International Boat Show has always been a key date in our calendar and we are really looking forward to getting back to in-person events again and showcasing our extensive portfolio of brands,” says Juliet Boyes, Senior Marketing Executive, Barrus Marine Division.
Barrus will also be using the show to launch the 1st Mate Safety and Security System, the world’s first engine-integrated man overboard and proximity-based theft deterrent system. This wearable technology, suitable for up to 8 people, turns the engine off or sounds an alarm during a man overboard event (MOB), and can send notifications to emergency contacts.
Zodiac Nautic’s renewed product range will also be on show, as the Barrus and Zodiac partnership continues using Barrus’s logistical expertise and dealer network.
Colin Vines, Director of RIB Shack Marine, says the Southampton International Boat Show is a very important show and invaluable as a way to enable visitors to find out about the company’s unique shared boat ownership scheme. RIB Shack will be displaying the high spec 8.11m Ribeye A811 with Yamaha 300hp engine with four shock mitigation seats, and the Axopar 28 and Axopar 37 XC cross cabin RIBS which demonstrate the functionality, ease of movement, and versatility of a walk-around centre console craft with spacious, fully-enclosed weather proofed cabin.
The world’s first electric RIB with fully integrated electric drive, the Pulse 63, from RS Electric Boats is being launched at the Southampton International Boat Show. With zero emissions, no unpleasant fumes and no risk of oil spills, the Pulse 63 promotes clean boating. Extremely quiet with a minimal wake for discrete operations and a comfortable ride, the Pulse 63 electric RIB is also built using sustainable and recycled materials and constructed on British soil to reduce shipping miles.
“We are really looking forward to presenting our Pulse 63 electric RIB at the Southampton International Boat Show. With zero emissions propulsion, the Pulse 63 is a unique alternative to traditional combustion engine RIBs and we expect it to appeal to a wide range of users including marine-based organisations, sailing schools, superyacht crews and leisure boaters. We hope to inspire visitors to the show to rethink how they work and play on the water and consider switching to a greener solution,” says Jon Partridge, Commercial CEO, RS Electric Boats.
RIBS and inflatable boats, tenders and all forms of craft will pack out the show including ranges from MCC Marine, Ribcraft, Selva Marine, Williams Jet Tenders, Wills Marine, Wolf Rock and ZAR Formenti amongst others. “The timing of Southampton International Boat Show provides customers the opportunity to place their order in good time to ensure delivery for the following season, whilst taking advantage of the possibility to semi-customise their boat with a wide range of colours and options,” says Dan Cross, Director at BoatSmart, distributor of the Zar Formenti range.
