As we head towards winter, now is the time to start planning for next year’s season – and we have the perfect opportunity for you to address any needs your club has at our upcoming RYA Connected event.
RYA Connected
With over 20 sessions to choose from, plus plenty of time factored in to network with other clubs, RYA experts and the RYA South team, you really can build a day that suits the needs of your club.
We also have a number of different session formats as we know that some people prefer the opportunity to share ideas and network, whilst others prefer to be presented to.
Lunch in included, there’s free parking, and really easy access from Southampton train station (there are free buses from the station, just look out for the Uni Link bus) and the Redjet ferry, and there is plenty of secure parking for bikes as well.
Everyone is welcome from all aspects of club life, as well as class associations. So far over 45 attendees have booked already. It takes place on Saturday 2 December at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton.

Regional Connect Webinars
If you can’t attend RYA Connect in person, we have a host of online webinars as well. There are five taking place during November and cover topics including club governance and writing a successful funding application. More information here.
RYA Connected OnBoard Call
Join Polly Schafer, Sailing Development Officer, on Tuesday 28 November at 7pm – 8pm, to exchange ideas and find out how the season has gone for other OnBoard clubs, plus all the latest OB news. Please contact Polly for more information.
Instructor Courses
The Regional Training Groups for the dingy classes are in full swing now, with the windsurfers about to take part in their first training sessions this weekend. Of course, these young people also depend on their clubs and centres for training. Please do contact myself or Duncan West if you would like support in how to develop your Instructors and courses. We are here to help.
