What’s stopping you getting afloat?

The RYA is inviting all water users to share their feedback about the barriers currently having an impact on boating.

From access to slipways to motivations to get afloat, the new Time on the Water survey aims to identify the things that matter the most to boaters, as well as factors that may be preventing people from spending time on the water.

Rob Clark, RYA Director of Sport Development explains: “We’re appealing to racers, cruisers, sailors, windsurfers, jetskiers, inland waterway users and anyone who gets afloat. This is an opportunity to provide valuable insight with the aim of helping to shape the RYA’s programmes moving forward.

“The more knowledge we have, the better we can help to make sure boating is inclusive and enjoyable for as many people as possible”.

The survey is open until December 2022 but anyone who completes the survey before 30 September can win a bag of sailing kit worth up to £500.
