Domestic (UK)

  • HM Treasury has published its latest Forecasts for the UK economy (June 2022) report, providing a comparison of independent forecasts for the UK, covering GDP and its components, inflation, currency value, interest rates and earnings. Click here to access the report.

  • The National Institute of Economic and Social Research has published its latest Monthly GDP Tracker report for June 2022, showing the impacts of inflation and the end of the Test and Trace programme on UK economic growth. Click here to access the report.
  • Natural England has published the latest edition of its People & Nature Survey (Year 2 Quarter 3), showing trends in access, use of and attitudes to nature, including “blue spaces” such as rivers, canals, lakes and coastlines. Click here to access the report.
  • The Office for National Statistics has published the latest edition of its Economic activity and social change in the UK series, using rapid response surveys and novel data sources to show real-time economic and social trends. Click here to access the report.
  • The Office for National Statistics has published the latest edition of its Business insights and impact on the UK economy series, using rapid response surveys to provide real-time information on issues affecting UK business and economy, including financial performance, workforce, trade, and business resilience.   • The Office for National Statistics has published the first wave of Census 2021 data, covering household and population statistics. Further releases scheduled for Autumn 2022 will cover population demographics in more detail. Click here for further information.
  • Resolution Foundation has published a new report Net zero jobs: the impact of the transition to net zero on the UK labour market. The report looks at ‘brown’ industrial jobs (which includes boatbuilding, marine engineering and boat handling jobs) at risk from the de-carbonisation of transportation and the wide-scale adoption of green manufacturing technologies.   • The USA’s National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) has published new consumer research to support its “Discover Boating” campaign to attract new participants into boating. This new research highlights the key demographic characteristics and purchasing behaviours of prospective post-pandemic US customers for businesses selling in the US.
