On coastline, lakes and waterways across the UK there are around 2,000 RYA affiliated clubs and centres offering opportunities for water-lovers of all ages to get afloat, with many of these based on the East Coast, inland rivers, lakes, estuaries and waterways. Plus, this summer some venues are running #DiscoverSailing sessions inviting you to come and ‘have a go’ for very little cost or FREE.
These events are aimed at giving individuals the opportunity to try sailing across the country. One of these events is at Oulton Broad Water Sports Centre, who are holding a Discover Sailing Open Day on Saturday 28 May, from 10am.
The Centre said: “This year we have welcomed our new centre manager, Graham (and his dog Topsy), and we are very much looking forward to getting as many people out on the water as we can. If you’re looking forward to a new way to get outdoors and get active, or trying to find something you can enjoy as a family, Oulton Broad Water Sports Centre may have just the thing for you. We are inviting you and your family to come and try sailing for just £10 on Saturday 28 May 2022.
Whether you’re completely new to the sport or looking to get back on the water, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a go.”
