The Maritime Skills Commission requests your help with a project that it is undertaking as members of the UK Skills Partnership (UKSP). Commissioned by the British Council on behalf of the UK Skills Partnership, it aims to develop a robust estimate of how much skills sector exports contribute to the UK economy. The attached survey will help the research partners, The Research Base, develop a robust estimate of its size.

Being able to articulate the value of skills in this way will be of benefit to the entire sector from a policy and operational perspective.

If you export in any way (including the products/services you provide in the United Kingdom to international organisations and students), you will need an overview of financial information and export activity.

Please note that any financial information will be treated in the strictest confidence. Only The Research Base will have access to any linked financial information and it will not be shared.

Even if you don’t export yourself, please do still fill in the survey; it will be very short, but your contribution will help to make our final calculations representative of the sector as a whole (we need to assess what proportion of organisations export in order to do this).

The survey link is here. It will take a maximum of 10 minutes to complete.

The UKSP press release for this is located here.

If you have any questions about the survey, please email Emma Stuart at The Research Base: emma@theresearchbase.com
