RYA Affiliates webinar – A case study on incorporation

The RYA will be co-hosting a case study focussed webinar with Christchurch Sailing Club at 7.30pm on 30 January. The webinar, ‘A case study on incorporation,’ will consider the process that Christchurch Sailing Club recently underwent to become an incorporated entity. Adrian Dwyer, Rear Commodore Finance and member of the Constitution Working Group, and Martin Dancey Chair of the Constitution Working Group from the Club will chat through the procedure and the challenges they encountered. 

The panel will also include Augustus Della-Porta, a partner in the law firm, Bates Wells, who advised the Christchurch Sailing Club on its incorporation..  

The points to be covered in the case study include:

  • An overview of the incorporation process
  • Practical considerations
  • Challenges 
  • Timescale 
  • Learning points

Following the presentation there will be the opportunity for the audience to ask questions to the panel.
