The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) produces M’notices (marine notices) to update industry on amendments to rules and regulations, as well as providing guidance on how to comply with the regulations. These notices take three forms; Marine Information Notices (MINs), Marine Guidance Notices (MGNs) and Merchant Shipping Notices.
There have now been several changes to the rules and regulations surrounding the design and constructions, as well as the operation of fishing vessels, and the MCA has just released as series of MGNs and MINs on these changes:
