We’re All In: Find out how RYA Northern Ireland is supporting clubs with volunteer engagement

RYA Northern Ireland launches ‘We’re All In’ to support clubs with volunteer engagement

Volunteers remain one of the main driving forces behind sailing and boating in Northern Ireland who help keep participation levels high across the country.

For this reason, when we launched our five-year strategy, Navigating the Future, one of four strategic aims was to “Inspire people to give or continue to give their time.”

“Without the dedicated volunteers, instructors, coaches, and officials who make the sport possible, it simply would not exist.

“Our top priority is to ensure that every person involved in the sport feels valued, appreciated, and supported in their efforts.”- Navigating the Future

We’re now pleased to announce our new volunteer pilot scheme- We’re All In.

The aim of the scheme is to reduce the impact of “volunteer burnout” and ensure the long-term sustainability of our sport.

Support provided to clubs through We’re All In

Clubs and centres will be able to apply for a small amount of funding aimed at increasing engagement. This funding will contribute to:

  1. The funding of a volunteer engagement day to be run by the end of April 2024
  2. Training of volunteers

In addition to financial support, we will work with clubs on a one-to-one basis as we appreciate that each club is unique.

Clubs who are part of the scheme will receive direct support from RYA staff about how to reach out to new volunteers most effectively and they will be supported through interactive workshops.

If you would like to work with the RYA to engage more volunteers you can make an expression of interest using this form: https://www.cognitoforms.com/RYANI/WereAllIn

Applications are required to be submitted by the 11th December.

We’re all in Support Document.
